What Does a Data Center Demand from Electrical Infrastructure?

Solutions
A Data Center demands a highly reliable, efficient, and ready-to-operate electrical infrastructure. Because any interruption can lead to economic losses, operational failures, or data loss, the electrical system must guarantee 24/7 availability and maximum stability.

Among the main requirements are:

  • High energy availability: redundant systems that ensure continuity in the event of power failures.
  • Power backup: integration of UPS, battery banks, and emergency generators.
  • Safe and scalable electrical distribution: switchboards designed for future growth and critical loads.
  • Real-time monitoring and control: constant supervision of consumption, temperature, and electrical performance.
  • Energy efficiency: solutions that optimize consumption and reduce operating costs.
  • Protection and power quality: systems capable of preventing overloads, voltage variations, and critical failures.
An adequate electrical infrastructure not only protects the Data Center’s operation but also allows for greater scalability, security, and business continuity.

Electrical infrastructure for data centers

Continuous availability

Our bypass isolation transfer switches allow for maintenance of the transfer system without interrupting power to critical loads. Direct power from the source (normal or emergency) while the equipment is being serviced. Operation compliant with NFPA 110.

Electrical redundancy

We design systems with three or more independent automatic transfer switches in accordance with Article 517.31 of NOM-001-SEDE-2018 for the Essential Electrical System. Each electrical path has its own protection and transfer to eliminate single points of failure.

Emergency generation

Synchronization and control switchboards for multiple generators with ComAp controllers. System available at full capacity in 8-10 seconds from the start command. Traditional backup synchronization available for slow-start generators. Scalable up to 31+ generators.

Critical cooling

Cooling systems can account for up to 40% of a data center's electricity consumption. Our Motor Control Centers (MCC) guarantee stable power and protection for each cooling unit, with removable modules for maintenance without stopping the system.

Solutions for data center infrastructure

mission critical

Each product has been designed, tested, and certified to operate in environments where continuity of electrical service is a requirement, not a wish. NFPA 110 and NOM-001-SEDE-2018 compliance across the entire line.

Bypass Isolation Switches

maintenance without cutting power

Description

The bypass isolation switch is a manually operated device that works in conjunction with the automatic transfer switch. It allows for direct connection of the power source to the load and complete isolation of the transfer for inspection or maintenance, without interrupting electrical service to critical loads. In a data center, this means: scheduled maintenance without downtime.

¿Horizontal o vertical?
