Automatic transfer switchboards open and closed transition (synchronization)
We manufacture automatic transfer switchboards to safely and automatically switch electrical power between two energy sources, typically between the commercial grid and an emergency plant or electric generator, ensuring continuity, safety, and reliability in the power supply.
We develop open transition and closed transition (synchronization) solutions, adapted to the needs of each industrial, commercial, or critical application. Our systems integrate controls from recognized international brands such as COMAP and DSE (Deep Sea Electronics), offering advanced technology for monitoring, synchronization, automation, and protection of generator sets and electrical grids.
- Open transition: performs the switch by first disconnecting one source before connecting the other, preventing both from working simultaneously.
- Closed transition or synchronization: allows for a transfer without perceptible interruption, synchronizing both sources before the switch.
These units are fundamental in facilities where electrical continuity is critical, such as hospitals, industries, data centers, businesses, and corporate buildings.
Thanks to our experience and focus on customized engineering, we supply robust, efficient equipment compatible with different operation schemes, ensuring optimal performance and a safe transition between energy sources.
ComAp specializes in creating electronic control and management solutions for use in the power generation industry and its markets. Our portfolio of products, software, and accessories is designed to supply emergency power, standby generation, and engine control applications worldwide.
The ComAp engine controller family offers innovative and universal system integration for a wide range of platforms and engine-driven applications.
InteliDrive controllers offer unprecedented command, control, and communication advantages. The range offers individual solutions that meet the precise needs of auxiliary, emergency, and marine propulsion engines, as well as land-based platforms such as motor pumps, compressors, crushers, and screeners.
GeCon controllers provide complete protection and control for single or multiple generators based on the proven InteliGen NT and InteliSys NT platform. The primary function of the generator controller is to manage and protect the engine, which is not a primary concern.
GeCon units can be used in applications where engine protection and management are not required or in cases where the generator is powered by another energy source, such as a turbine controlled by an external PLC. The controller is adaptable to marine and land-based applications.
ComAp’s ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) control products are designed to monitor the AC supply for under/over voltage, under/over frequency, voltage unbalance, and to send a start command upon detection of voltage discrepancies in the main power source. The model family offers a wide variety of control functions and user-configurability options.
